CAKE:
2 cups flour 2 cups sugar 1 stick butter 1 cup oil 1 cup water 4 heaping tablespoons cocoa 1/2 cup buttermilk 2 eggs 1 teaspoon soda ICING: 1 1/4 sticks butter 1/4 cup evaporated milk 1 dash salt 4 heaping teaspoons cocoa 1 teaspoon vanilla 1 box confectioners sugar 1. Mix flour and sugar; set aside. Bring to a boil butter, oil, water and cocoa. Pour over flour and sugar. Mix in 1/2 cup buttermilk, 2 eggs, and 1 teasp. soda. Pour into sheet pan and bake at 325° for 45 min. 2. Icing: melt 1 1/4 sticks of butter. Cool slightly. Add 1/4 cup evaporated milk, dash of salt, 4 heaping teasp. cocoa, 1 teasp. vanilla, 1 box 10x sugar. Brint to a boil. Pour over cake while warm. Cool completely. HAPPY EATING |
